Joshua Archer

Josh is a Senior Global Corporate Campaigner leading strategy development and implementation of Stand’s Deliver Change campaign. 

Josh’s campaigning career began in 2018, on the heels of the IPCC Special Report. At the time, Josh was working on corporate governance and regulatory strategy at a major international insurer. Encouraged by the need for urgent action to avert the climate crisis, Josh decided to use his corporate experience and passion for environmental justice to encourage progress on carbon emissions reduction. 

Josh learned the ropes at Greenpeace Japan, where he campaigned to eliminate financial support for fossil fuels from major Japanese banks and insurers. In 2020-2021, Josh developed and resourced campaigns aiming to phase out coal in Central and Eastern Europe while working with the Europe Beyond Coal campaign. Prior to joining Stand, Josh directed a campaign focused on the climate challenges and opportunities of blockchain technologies.

Outside of work, Josh quenches his thirst for adventure with long bike tours and thru-hikes. He and his partner love to care for animals, especially their senior dog, Frankie.
