Matt Westendorf
Matt Westendorf is the Chief Operating Officer at Stand.earth.
Matt is an accomplished nonprofit leader and certified executive coach with more than 25 years of experience in the field. He has extensive hands on experience in nearly all aspects of organizational life including board development, finance, fundraising, human resources, diversity equity and inclusion, meditation and mindfulness, conflict resolution, change management and organizational development. Since 2008 Matt has served as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he provides leadership and direction for the Human Resources/Operations, Finance, and Development teams. Prior to Stand.earth, Matt held roles including Managing Director and Development Director for social justice and arts organizations. Matt holds a B.A. in American Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2017, he received his certification as an Executive Coach from the UC Berkeley Executive Education Executive Coaching program. Born and raised in California, Matt moved to Bozeman in 2018. In his free time he loves getting out into Montana’s amazing wild places – hiking with his dog Chico, skiing, snowshoeing, and visiting hot springs near and far.
