Standing with Palestinians on International Day of Solidarity
November 29, 2025
As we observe the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on Nov. 29, Stand.earth offers our solidarity with Palestinians and condemnation of the disproportionate violence that continues to be perpetrated by the state of Israel in its reprehensible genocide.
More than two years into the escalation that has claimed at least 70,000 lives in Gaza, the Palestinian people are grappling with immense losses and a long road ahead to rebuild. More than two million Palestinians, including one million children, are facing debilitating famine and chronically insufficient access to water, food, and medical care.
Although the toll of this genocide on human life is devastating enough, the deployment of weapons of the scale that we have seen in Gaza also has decimated the local landscape over the past two years and carries staggering consequences for climate. Just as a group of fossil fuel companies have profited by driving us to the edge of climate chaos, a handful of billionaires have made unfathomable riches through warmongering and supplying weapons in this conflict.
Together with allies, we are drawing attention to these connections across our campaigns, including calling on banks to divest from arms sales alongside fossil fuels and organizing against fossil-fuelled data centers alongside groups opposing the tech companies fuelling apartheid and AI surveillance.
While we welcomed hopeful news about a ceasefire in October 2025, unfortunately Gaza’s borders still remain closed to desperately needed humanitarian aid and the bombings have not stopped. Much more action and accountability are needed to advance the wellbeing and sovereignty of the Palestinian people in both Gaza and the West Bank, including a durable end to hostilities, reliable access to aid, and the right of return.
We stand with the countless organizations and millions of individuals who have wielded the power of collective action to engage tirelessly over the past two years in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
