SHARM EL SHEIKH — North America-based environmental advocacy organization is participating in several events at COP 27 related to its campaigns to protect the Amazon rainforest, governments’ role in climate change policymaking, biomass as a false climate solution, and sustainability in the fashion sector. The events include press conferences and panels with Indigenous leaders, elected officials, and oil and gas finance experts. COP 27 runs from November 6-18 2022, in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

Social Event: : Fossil Fuel Phase Out Fest

  • When: Thursday 10th November, 8 pm – 11 pm, and then the venue turns into a nightclub for those who want to continue on.
  • What: A social event on the sidelines of COP27 for people campaigning for a global just transition away from fossil fuels.
  • Where: Climate Justice Hub at Sanafir Hotel. Food and drinks will be provided.

Panel: A Treaty for FPIC: Indigenous People call for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty
